about

Welcome to STEMX-365

STEMX365 is a USA based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, affiliated with MIT Zero Robotics, for teaching International Space Station (ISS) based STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education in under-served communities. STEMX365 was founded in 2019 as a non-profit organization by scientists from MIT, Harvard and Columbia university.

STEMX365 is committed to providing accessible, immersive, and interactive STEM education to every child, starting in Bangladesh.

STEMX365 seeks to encourage young people to cultivate hands-on skills by providing them with the opportunity to explore science the way that some of the world’s smartest people—astronauts and rocket scientists—do. Through our case-based 3-D virtual learning environment, students will develop skills that they can apply to excel in school and, eventually, the increasingly technological job market.

With STEMX-365, students aren’t just receiving information, they’re in charge of their own learning. In this way, STEMX-365 hopes to advance the well-being of the nation by nurturing and inspiring the next generation.

What is STEM?

STEM involves the four disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The STEM curriculum was developed in the United States to teach students about these subjects in an interdisciplinary and applied approach so that they can solve real-world problems in an innovative and efficient manner.

Why STEM?

Digital technology is advancing and there is a gap in the number of skilled workers available to meet these demands. This means that many young people, especialy in developing nations, are being left behind because they lack the skills needed to enter this workforce. Students, as individuals and citizens of these nations, benefit tremendously by earning degrees in STEM fields—They are able not only to obtain gainful employment in these fields directly, but also in adjacent fields that rely on the knowledge and skills in STEM.
